Galfer rotor bad. Replaced with a set of EBC rotors.
The right-side rotor has been deteriorating for some time now so I thought it was a good time to replace it.
I went to the dealer and they wanted $430.00 each for factory rotors. I won't go into detail on what I thought of that. It reminded me why I didn't use factory replacements before. These rotors have been on for about 12,000 miles and for wear, they are still good with plenty of use left. However, the right-side rotor was beginning to worry me the last couple of months.
It seems all of the spring clips had poped-out along the way making for a noisy and hazardous situation. I had sent a few emails to Galfer but never received a reply. Not happy about that and the rotors, I opted to replace them with a set of EBC rotors. I searched and found a set at cyclebrakes.com (the dealer couldn't find a part number for them—they wanted me to by the factory ones) for 199.00 each so I order both sides and 2 sets of pads. I love them and think they are better than the Glafers. At least for my riding.
