It’s kind of like the plumber who’s house has the leaky faucets, I never have time to work on my own projects.

Kimberly Conn Owes me $750.00

That's right, $750.00 for the damage from rear-ending my car on I-290. More surprising is she actually had insurance - I was relieved. I went through and filed reports and sent off paperwork to her Insurance company, United Equitable Insurance, Inc. UEI will not pay on it because they cannot contact Kimberly to confirm my side of the story. This was a "ta-da" moment. Crap. Moral of the story, no matter how trivial the accident, get a police report to back up your claim. I didn't know - never been in an accident before.

Political Calls Not Covered By National Do Not Call List

I was really annoyed today that I received a robot call from some organization endorsing GOP Laura Fitzpatrick for DuPage Board District 2 challenging Sheahan and O'Shea.

Upon investigation as to why my National Do Not Call Registry was being ignored—political solicitations are not considered "telemarketing." Oddly, it feels just same.

Little Red Sleigh

2007 Mazda Miata MX-5 Mazdaspeed

Remind you of anything?

It reminded me of my 1967 Camaro that I had in High School, only smaller, and more luxurious. And a lot safer.

It only took me a year to talk myself into getting a new car—it has been eleven years since I bought one (not counting the van earlier this year—a prtable garage). I love the new, slightly used, car and picked a great time of the year to get this kind of car (it’s a little chilly out today). A little loose on the ice but otherwise an amazingly fun little car.
